
Madison and Pulaski Mural Project - Call for Artists
Our Process:
The GPRWC Mural Project is inclusive of the Garfield Park community and will be designed with great consideration of community input, collective values, and intentional engagement. We will select 3 artist to submit a concept draft and then select a finalist for the project.
Round 1: Three muralist will be selected by a community jury
Round 2: Each muralist will participate in an Envisioning Circle and submit concept designs by January.
Round 3: One muralist will be selected by way of community votes and will install mural by Spring 2023.
*Honoraria will be available for all three muralist throughout the process. as we seek to provide equitable opportunities for creative practitioners involved in the project.

Application Overview:
The GPRWC Mural Project will open applications beginning Oct. 1st CST.
We are requesting applicants to submit the application and upload 3 samples of their work which should include site descriptions and photos. The final section may request a reference but it is not required!
We look forward to working with dynamic creatives who have a passion for collaboration and community! The mural will celebrate black culture and furthers the mission to inspire our rite to wellness in Garfield Park.
